In France, you must have some form of identity with you at all times. Should you lose your passport, contact the consulate of your country of origin.	On the 1 January 1999, the exchange rates between the Eurozone currencies were irrevocably frozen. Since the 1 January 1999, the Euro is the official currency of the Eurozone. International airports, major railway stations and European motorway networks will help bring you to your destination under the best conditions.

Shops : generally from 0900 to 1200 / 1400 to 1900 (open all day in big cities, certain shops are closed on Mondays). Sunday mornings : some food shops are open and there are markets in many cities.	Important rules for driving: safety belts are compulsory in the front and rear throughout France, including urban areas. Children under the age of 10 years must be sat on special children's seats. Speed limits : 50 km/hour in urban areas, 130 km/hour on motorways, 110 km/hour on dual carriageways, 90 km/hour on other roads. Alcohol level limited to 0.20 g.	Post office : generally from 8 am to 7 pm weekdays and 8 am to 12 am on Saturdays (small offices are closed between 12 am and 2 pm) Banks : Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 12 am and from 2.30 pm to 6 pm (take note of long weekends and holidays; ask about possible modifications). Restaurants : generally open from 12 am to 2 pm and between 7 pm and 10 pm.
